Synopsis & Insights:

Then Came You can be described as a light-hearted rom-com that follows its viewers on the path of learning about life, love and second chances. The plot centers around Kathie Lee Gifford’s character Annabelle Wilson, a young widow who decides to take a trip around the world visiting the places she and her late husband dreamed of. Her first destination is a picturesque bed and breakfast in Scotland, where she meets an interesting character, the innkeeper Howard Awd played by Craig Ferguson.

In this case, (Kathie Lee Gifford) injects some warmth and vulnerability in Annabelle – a lost woman looking for herself after she has suffered terrible loss. (Craig Ferguson) deigns to be an amusing and surly Howard animating a rather dull Annabelle medicine shop. The chemistry between Gifford and Ferguson is quite sweet, both humorous and deep, as they both deal with love at a later age and the challenges and general awkwardness that comes with it.

Another character who complicates the story and enhances the romantic tension is Clare played by Elizabeth Hurley – one of Howard’s ex-girlfriends. The action takes place in Scottish countryside which is picturesque and calm serving as an additional improvement to the plot of the film which travels around love, healing and starting over.

Then Came You is a film about how true love can be found in unexpected places and the difficulty that accompanies starting over. It is a delightful narrative with humour and emotions that serves a treat to anyone who loves stories about love, engender, loss and the surprise elements of the storyline. The film captures the angst and the imagination of today’s youth but makes them feel good and reinforces the notion that life isnatural after the dreg period of the lifecoven. moments when life truly becomes moments of equanimity and resurgence with much of target.
