Synopsis
The plot of the movie revolves around a New Yorker named Fiona who seems to be struggling with continuously receiving the short end of the stick in the luck department. To help her mother Helen, who was adopted, trace her roots, Fiona takes her on an Irish trip. During the chaotic yet revealing trip, both women’s emotions are put through the ringer, which further allows them to explore their sense of self, identity, and luck. Aside from all the drama, there was romance in the form of Liam, a widowed bartender who, along with Fiona, helped to build a special bond through the beautiful Irish countryside.
