Personal Insights
It is ancient Rome which has been recreated perfectly with glory in the movie “Gladiator II”. Scott succintly provides a visceral and immersive experience. Paul Mescal puts up a great performance as Lucius, exuding determination while still showcasing signs of weakness. The film’s story unfolds as constituting of revenge, power and redemption, and the present world, with all its complications allows it to deeply engage with the audience, displaying the repeating of history and the impurities in humanity.
